Upper Dells boat tour...

Went up to Wisconsin Dells for Memorial day weekend with my family and Nikki's family.  What a beautiful day, and wonderful time...we went on the Upper Dells boat tour, Ripley's, Wizard Quest (w/Nikki's little sis...it's like a Discovery Zone w/riddles you have to solve along the way), Marley's for dinner (yum...Gator sandwich :) ), and then finished off the evening losing a little at Ho-Chunk.  Nikki's dad won $375!  I'm glad one of us was a winner!  Most of these pics were screaming B & W to me...most of them were taken at the "Witches Gulch" portion of the upper Dells boat tour.  The last one is of Stand Rock...for those of you who don't know, Stand Rock was made famous by photographer H.H. Bennett...inventor of the instant shutter.  He made it out of wood an rubber bands, and called it a "snapper".  To test, he took a picture of his son in mid air above the 5ft gap, and ended up winning a 1895 national photo contest with it.

Tourists used to be able to jump across themselves, but insurance companies squashed that in the 1940's, and specially trained dogs are used today.
